
Career
Kathryn brings more than three decades of experience in the federal public service, including 12 years as an executive. She held senior roles at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, where she managed complex files in high-stakes environments.
Coaching
Throughout her career, Kathryn was known for her drive, her calm and grounded presence, and her ability to deliver results under pressure. Since retiring from public service, Kathryn has leaned in by coaching and mentoring today’s current and emerging leaders who are navigating the challenges of senior roles. Her perspective is grounded in both practice and theory, making her a trusted partner in leadership growth.
Kathryn’s coaching starts from the understanding that leadership is demanding work that calls for resilience and balance. She helps clients build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and set boundaries that sustain performance and well-being.
Drawing on her own leadership experience and her certification as an Integral Associate Coach™, Kathryn supports clients in uncovering and developing an authentic leadership style that is both confident and purposeful. While at the Treasury Board Secretariat, Kathryn led the renewal of the Key Leadership Competencies, and this deep connection to the Key Leadership Competencies informs her approach: she works with clients to translate the framework into practical strategies tailored to their individual context, enabling them to meet the complexity of executive roles with integrity and clarity.
Qualifications/Certifications
Kathryn is a certified Integral Associate Coach™ through Integral Coaching Canada. She also holds a Certificate in Public Management and Governance from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science from Carleton University. In addition, she is a graduate of several public service leadership development programs, experiences that continue to inform her approach as a coach.
